This March I will be aiming to walk 155km over the month to stand with women and girls globally who are held back by having to walk 5km or more for water every day. In Scotland we have so much water and I cannot imagine what it would be like to have none. No clean running water when you turn on a tap or hot water for washing. Wateraid is a wonderful charity doing life-changing work on the ground and the small amount I am aiming to raise will help dig wells in remote areas and provide clean water for children in Gaza today,
703 million people in the world – almost one in ten – don’t have clean water close to home. For women and girls, the burden is even greater. Millions must make difficult journeys – every single day – to fetch the water they and their families need to survive.
Please help me raise vital funds to help ensure that no woman or girl is held back by a lack of clean water.
Thank you so so much for your support.
