I'm joining the Great British Garden Party this summer to raise funds for the National Garden Scheme in support of some of the best-loved nursing and health charities in the UK. The National Garden Scheme has been raising millions of pounds for nursing and health charities by opening private gardens, since 1927. The long-term continuity of their funding is vital to the charities they support which include Macmillan Cancer Care, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carer's Trust, Parkinson's UK, and the Queen's Nursing Institute whose funding streams all but dried up during the pandemic.
