Mary's Great North Run Challenge

Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 · 8 September 2019 ·
On 31st August 2018 my wonderful dad "Bing" lost his battle against cancer. Dad's diagnosis came as a huge shock in July and we had a very short 6 weeks with him. My family and I cared for Dad at home throughout his final weeks we were there to support him at every hour of the day.
In 2017 I began running after loosing 7 1/2 stone and Dad would love to hear about what runs and challenges I had line up - he was my biggest supporter. That is why I've decided on my biggest challenge to date... to run the Great North Run in 2019. I will continue to run my 10K's in-between and keep you posted with pictures and progress updates.
One hour of nursing care in someone’s home costs £20. I would love to be able to raise enough to to provide a family with several nights of overnight care.
