The Salvation Army's response for Ukraine
Campaign by The Salvation Army (RCN 214779 and in Scotland SC009359)
The Salvation Army in Europe is preparing for and responding to the ongoing situation in Ukraine as families continue to be affected by the conflict.

Story

I am hoping to raise £7,000 because it's my 70th birthday;  because what is happening in Ukraine is beyond awful; because we live in a beautiful, peaceful part of the world;  because we have been celebrating The Queen's Platinum Jubilee which reminds me how fortunate I am to have her as Head of State.

AND

I would like to do a tiny something to help the Ukrainians.   £7000 may be ludicrously optimistic but it fits with being 70 and why not aim high.   I have started myself off with 10% of this target and hope you will help up this.  THANK YOU.

Why the Salvation Army Ukraine Appeal out of the many organisations out there?  I know and trust the The Salvation Army.  They have an ongoing programme to bring aid and help to Ukrainian people in dire need.  Check out their website, extract from it below

The Salvation Army is active in Ukraine and across Europe, providing practical and emotional support to people who have been deeply impacted by the worsening situation. We’re delivering essential provisions including food, water and blankets, and are committed to assist for as long as it takes.
