Story
Edit:
Thanks so much to everyone who sponsored me. I managed to run for the full 24 hours and covered 82 miles in total. It was incredibly hard but the sponsorship money you gave to ASSERT and all your kind words kept me going! I can confirm that no chips were eaten but I was significantly delayed by the heat, leg pain and the consumption of three bags of strawberry laces!
Thank you once again for sponsoring me, the money you have given will make a big difference to ASSERT.

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As most of you know I am currently in my first year of a PhD at the Cerebra Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. My research focuses on sociability and behaviour in Angelman syndrome. Angelman syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that affects approximately 1 in 20,000 people and is associated with both a physical and cognitive disability. As Angelman syndrome is so rare, this can make it difficult for families and professionals to get information about the syndrome. The Angelman Syndrome Support Education and Research Trust (ASSERT) provide information and support to individuals and families living with Angelman Syndrome. In addition, ASSERT arranges and funds a national conference for families every two years. Please visit http://www.angelmanuk.org/ for more information.
In July I will be running in a 24 hour race to raise money for ASSERT. The race is made up of a 10k loop which I try and run as many times as I can in 24 hours without stopping. I hope to run about 100 miles, but this is dependant on how many times I stop to eat chips!
I really hope you can sponsor me. Even a small amount will make a difference.
