Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to detect the odour of disease. Our research includes cancer, Parkinson's and other diseases and could save millions of lives by improving diagnostics. We already help people manage complex, life-threatening medical conditions by training Medical Alert Dogs.

Question: How to make the BIG SIX ZERO memorable??

Answer: Do an exciting challenge & raise some money for a very worthwhile cause.

So on May 14/2011 I am heading off to the Grand Canyon. I am paying for the trip myself so that every single penny raised will go to Medical Detection Dogs.

We shall be trekking down to the bottom of the Canyon, where we'll camp for 3 nights in the Havasupai Indian Reservation. We'll be spending the days hiking to various waterfalls & up canyons. On the sixth day we set out to conquer the Canyon trekking along the same path used for the descent, & assuming we reach the Rim we'll be having a presentation dinner to celebrate our achievements.
