Mary's Walk

Mary's life came to a sudden end in January this year due to an aortic dissection. She was rushed to Papworth Hospital in the early hours of the morning, as they are one of very few hospitals in the UK that are equipped to deal with such a life-threatening condition. Despite all odds Papworth Hospital did operate on Mary, several times, in an attempt to save her life. Unfortunately, although they did all that they could, they were unable to save her. However, the hospital's care was impeccable, both towards Mary and us, her close family, and, although in reality there was little hope, they continued to give us hope until the end. This is why we wanted to support the hospital in any way we could, just like they supported us when we needed it most.
A group of about 10 of us will be climbing Mount Snowdon on May 27th in order to raise money for this cause. None of us are experienced walkers/climbers so this will be a challenge, with the mountain standing at 3560 feet tall!
Mary was a wonderful woman, a dedicated wife, caring mother, and loyal friend to many. She was (and still is) loved by so many people, and, although her life was tragically taken far too early, we must make something positive of this experience, and try to help others in similar situations.
