Do you know the reward of feeding the fasting person?
It was narrated that Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 807; Ibn Maajah, 1746. Classed as saheeh by Ibn Hibaan, 8/216 and by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6415.
Abu Darda (ra) relates that the Prophet (saw) said, "A prayed in Makkah (Ka'bah) is worth 100,000 times (reward), a prayer in my Masjid (Madinah) is worth 1,000 times and a prayer in Al-Aqsa Sanctuary is worth 500 times more reward than anywhere else". (Tabarani, Bayhaqi, Suyuti)
Look at the significance of Masjid Al Aqsa and now imagine how rewarding it must be to feed the poor Iftar in this blessed place!
- This year Zaimah is following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet by taking the initiative of providing Iftar in no better location than masjid al-Aqsa. Iftari will be provided on the last 10 nights of Ramadan, the most blessed of nights.
Previously by the will of Allah and with your generous donation we were able to reach over £3000! Allahu Akbar.. Let us try and raise that again or even exceed that target during this blessed month inshaaAllah. Know that a good deed carried out during this month will be multiplied by 70 bi'ithnillah. Let us reach out to this blessed opportunity and gain the mercy, blessing and reward from Allah! We have the whole month of Ramadan left inshaaAllah so let us collect as much as we can before 'Eid, Allāh willing.
