Story

Masjid Mawlana Ali Mayat Mozambique Appeal

This page has been setup under the guidance of Shaykh al-Hadith Mufti Shabbir Ahmad Sahib and Mawlana Ibrahim Mayat Sahib.

The purpose of this page is to raise funds for a Masjid that will be built in a rural area of Mozambique, the country where Mawlana Ali Mayat Rahimahullah was born. The Masjid will be accompanied Insha Allah with a room for the Imam, Maktab facilities along with toilet and ablution facilities. The approximate cost of the Masjid is £30,000.

Mawlana Ali Mayat Rahimahullah dedicated his entire life to the service of Islam, particularly in Darul Uloom Bury. He was a unique person and in the words of Shaykh Saleem Dhorat an "unsung hero". More information about him is available on the following link: https://islamicportal.co.uk/the-unsung-hero-mawlana-ali-mayat-rahimahullah/.

Charity is a very powerful method of supporting the deceased. A Hadith states, When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end, except three: Ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who will pray for him.

Previously, a Masjid was built for the Isaale Thawab of Mawlana Muhammad Deedat Rahimahullah, details are available on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15x1i5zCypw.

Everyone is requested to donate towards this appeal. Donations can be made online via JustGiving (Gift Aid will cover the JustGiving charges). Donations can also be made directly to UWT 08004080011 - 01204661030 or sent to the family.

Jazakallah
