On a recent visit to Somaliland, one of the Team Hope members came across students studying under a tree and a 'Masjid' which is just a few stones marking the boundary.

He was told this was the case amongst many of the rural communities whereby young children are studying under the tree comes rain or shine. Their masjid are as basic as it can be, making it difficult for the communities.

We have pledged to build a Masjid and Maktab so the people can worship Allah in a safe environment, come together and learn away from the elements, wild animals etc.

Alhamdulillah we are in direct contact with EWADA who will carry out the work.

It will cost only £15,000. The building will be provided with Solar Power, so the community can benefit from the Azan, Islamic talks and other communal activities. The masjid will serve as the hub of the community. It will also have toilet facilities too.

Please dig deep and donate generously and help us build Masjid Nurul Islam, a Sadaqah Jaariyah for all the deceased since the time of Adam Alyhiwasallam, in the name of recently deceased Shaykhul Hadith Hadhrat Nurul Islam Bishwanathi of Bangladesh.
