Someone is diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK every 20 minutes, and many will need a blood stem cell transplant for a second chance at life. We are committed to increasing the number of potential blood stem cell donors in the UK, so that there is a donor for everyone who needs one.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are helping to raise awareness and sign more donor's onto the stem cell registry; and at the same time we would like to support the organisation financially too. Each registration cost's £40 to process so every donation given will help towards this.

The only ‘match’ our football loving little boy cares about now is a marrow match.

In April 2018, Jayden Dhillon was diagnosed with AML Leukaemia at the young age of 7, and in typical Jayden fashion he fought it like the soldier he is and was given the all clear by August 2018.

In October 2019, the cancer returned and this time he needs your help more than ever.

Currently, only 69% of patients can find the best possible match from a stranger, and this drops dramatically to 20% if you're a patient from a black, Asian or ethnic minority background.

We need the community to come together to help find Jayden a bone marrow match.

Could you be his lifesaver?

How to find out:

1. Simply register online via www.dkms.org.uk (if you’re 17-55 years old or www.anthonynolan.org if you’re 16-30 years old
2. Complete the 2 minute cheek swab once you receive your pack in the post
3. Return the form and swabs back using the free postage envelope
4. Within 6 weeks, you’ll be placed onto the register and will be contacted directly if you are a match

For those who know Jayden and the family personally, please respect their privacy at this difficult time and refrain from contacting them directly - all updates will be shared on the instagram & facebook page @match4jayden (These page's are administered by close family)
