London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
As many of you may know I relish a challenge. Having
completed a number of endurance events in the past couple of years I thought I would take on my new and biggest challenge; Attempting to raise £1500 for a charity close to my heart, AngelmanUK.
My only attempt at fundraising previously was back in Year 7 for a sponsored silence, where I managed to raise £6! This time I have a much more ambitious goal of trying to raise £1500 for AngelmanUK by running the London Marathon 2019.
Many of you may not know but my youngest sister was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome at a young age. She has always been behind my motivation to enter and complete in events, from ultra-marathons to Ironman’s. Quitting has never been an option to me because I have no doubt that if my sister were able to, she’d complete many a crazy challenge herself. I am running the London Marathon in order to raise awareness for Angelman Syndrome and support AngelmanUK, so that they can continue to provide support for families and aid further research. You can read more about the great work the charity does here https://www.angelmanuk.org/
All monies raised will be going directly to the charity and I’d be extremely grateful for any donation you could make.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story, excuse me whilst I go for a training run…
