Story

On 4 March 2021 at 17:00 - 18:00 (London time) I will be running a Zoom workshop for children (6-12 year olds) where we will be creating an artwork inspired by Maths in the style of Maurits Cornelis Escher.

I am running this workshop to support Gift of Life charity.

To participate in this workshop please make a donation and send me an email with your details to contact@irinabednaya.com . I will reply to your email with a link to connect to the Zoom meeting.

What you will need to prepare

  1. a piece of square grid paper;
  2. sellotape;
  3. glue;
  4. a piece of cardboard (or a piece of thick paper);
  5. children's scissors;
  6. A4 paper (the thicker the better, mixed media paper is perfect for this artwork, but a usual printer paper will also work);
  7. HB pencil;
  8. black fineliner or black marker;
  9. colouring pencils and/or watercolours;

I am a UK qualified teacher with Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE (Primary)) from the University College London Institute of Education (UCL IOE). For more than 4 years I have been teaching Maths at the London School of Mathematics and Programming. I am also working on my YouTube channel creating educational videos for children - Irina and The Dragon - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC19qYiZHNcrhXV5BkF60VlQ
