We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

I am participating in the Birmingham Running Festival Half Marathon with Mathsoc and Chemsoc at UoB to raise money for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Young Person's Unit provided by the Teenage Cancer Trust. We can see the Queen Elizabeth Hospital every day from university, and it will be great to donate to a local charity which does such important work.

The Teenage Cancer Trust unit ensures the best possible quality care is given so that the young person is treated as a young person first and cancer patient second. They provide TV, DVD and gaming facilities for 11 in-patient beds as well as Wifi and laptops in their day-care facility. There are also study/education and kitchen/diner rooms. Five expert staff including nurses and youth support coordinators are funded by the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Any donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated. A donation of £25 could pay for a young person to see a specialist nurse. Thank you for supporting us and this brilliant charity!
