Story

This year I am participating again in the Norfolk Churches Bike Ride not only raising money for the Norfolk Churches Trust but also for the Matlaske Benefice.

Following an amusing conversation a foolhardy idea is being enacted: I will start in Sheringham, run to the sea, swim to Beeston Regis, and then bicycle via as many churches as possible to Matlaske.  The weather does look favourable, and I am assured the tide and current are too for this undertaking.

I hope, as a result of this endeavour, any money raised will enable our churches in the Matlaske Benefice to flourish in their mission to radiate the love of Christ through serving all in these communities in this wonderful corner of God's creation.  Money will also go towards the Norfolk Churches Trust which does amazing work in helping to care for churches throughout Norfolk, indeed I am aware that many of our churches in this Benefice are indebted to grants that NCT have provided to ensure that they continue as flourishing houses of God.
