Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
M.E. is a condition that has always had a big impact on my life as my mother is a long term sufferer. Although my mother has a severe case of the condition it doesn't effect her day to day positivity and she is still an inspirational mother and wife.
My mothers determination to not let the condition dictate her personality and her outlook on life has inspired me to raise funds for a brilliant charity. Action for M.E. is an organisation which continue to strive to break down barriers and stigmas surrounding M.E. and raise awareness about the condition. They also ensure sufferers and carers alike receive the necessary support.
This is the third year in a row I'll be undertaking this challenge, I would like to thank anybody that has supported me in previous years, it truly means a great deal to me, my mother and most importantly the charity.
HOWEVER, this year I will be joined by my tenacious and fabulous girlfriend who will be pulling me up those hills- Anwen Evans will definitely keep me going around the course.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) is a long-term (chronic), fluctuating, neurological condition that causes symptoms affecting many body systems, more commonly the nervous and immune systems. M.E. affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK, and around 17 million people worldwide.
People with M.E. experience severe, persistent fatigue associated with post-exertional malaise, the body’s inability to recover after expending even small amounts of energy, leading to a flare-up in symptoms.
