Just as we came out of the first ACT Lockdown, Matt signed up to do the Adelaide Marathon. Three months ago we committed, booked flights and accommodation only to cancel it last week - not an issue nor a deterrent…

While Kipchoge was dominating the Tokyo Marathon, Matt took time to scope out a course around Lake Burleigh Griffin so he could still run the marathon he'd been training for. Alas, Lockdown 2.0 struck. 

Committed as he is, he has now planned out a route around Murrumbateman and will be running, in accordance with lockdown restrictions, a marathon this Sunday. He will run alone lacking the support and encouragement from other runners or people on the sidelines.

I'm hoping that by raising money for Lifeline we can give Matt a little bit of purpose and encouragement for his run whilst also giving to such a valuable resource to our community at this difficult point in time.
