Story
When I was first contemplating the idea of jumping out of plane for charity, I spoke about it with a few family members and close friends. One of the first things that most people asked me was why I wanted to put myself through it! I'm certainly not the bravest soul in the world and those that know me closest know it! They've seen me having to deal with spiders and people dressed in horror make-up at Farmageddon!
I want to do this because last year we lost my amazing nan and she absolutely loved the bones of all the people at Macmillan! They played a massive role in supporting her brother, and her brother-in-law when they were both very ill with cancer and supporting the rest of our family through those tough moments. I see this as an opportunity for me to do something in her name and give back to the people that helped our family during some of the most difficult times!
On a personal level as well, this jump gives me the opportunity to do something incredible for the people that help so many others! We should all try and leave the world in a better place than we arrived in it - so this is going to be part of my small contribution to that end!
In order to complete the skydive, I need to raise a minimum of £395 and I will set the target as that... for now! I'd love to be able to smash that target but I need your help to be able to do that; we'll see how it goes! I really appreciate that times are hard for everyone at the moment but if you have some spare change, I'd really appreciate your support!
I won't be doing this skydive alone! After several conversations at work, Rachael and I will be doing it together! She's raising money for Macmillan as well as two other incredible charities once she's raised her minimum target for Macmillan! If you want to read her story, i've copied her URL here!

Thanks so much for reading this - I appreciate it!
I was trying to think of something skydiving related to end this part of my profile ... my initial thought was "Gironimo" but I do think that when it comes to it, my language might be a little more colourful and my face will resemble Murr from 'Impractical Jokers!'
Thanks
Matt :)
