Event: London Marathon 2022, on 2 October 2022
On Sunday 2nd October 2022 our incredible team of runners are taking part in the iconic TCS London Marathon in support of good mental health for all.

Story

Mental health affects everyone: 1 in 4 people in the UK experience mental health difficulties each year, and 1 in 15 people have attempted suicide in their lifetime.

These figures were revealed before the Covid-19 pandemic and are now expected to be significantly worse.

As keen runner, I want to push myself out of my comfort zone in 2022. What better challenge than to pound the streets of the capital - running the London Marathon in support of The Mental Health Foundation.

The UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health; the foundation aims to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.

An example of one of their projects is the 'Make it Count' campaign; calling for mental health education to be at the heart of what children learn in school.

With prevention at the heart of what they do, the charity not only provides information, tools and resources to individuals. It also conducts ground-breaking mental health research and works to influence key policies in UK law.

In the wake of the pandemic, it is even more important that we support mental health charities - they need us now more than ever.

Thank you for taking the time to read my page and a massive thank you for any donations.
