Story
Fate has delivered me an amazing opportunity to take place in the London Marathon on April 24, 2016. After running the Bluenose Marathon in Halifax 6 years ago I told myself and everyone who asked that "I will never run a marathon again! Ever! It will simply never happen. It's more likely that Donald Trump will be President of the United States!" Well the World has become a scary place over the past 6 years it appears.
I was actually already signed up to run the Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May. So when the opportunity came up to take over the charity entry for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation through my firm Barnett Waddingham it was an absolute no brainer.
It's an unfortunate truth that we have all been impacted by cancer in some way. Lung cancer is the most common form of cancer and claims the most lives. The work of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation supports research and provides assistance to patients. The work they do has a big impact on the lives of people impacted by this horrible disease. While running the London Marathon will be hard work on my part, it in no way compares to the dedication of the folks at the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
Please help me support the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation by supporting my trot around one of the most historic cities in the World!
