On Saturday 21st June 2014 I'll be taking on the X-Runner Water Wipeout event at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham.  The course is 6 miles of deep mud, lakes, scramble nets, tunnels and all manner of other obstacles that will batter my 45 year old body!  I've paid my entrance fee now, so I guess I'm going to have to complete it.

I'm running it because I want to raise money for FOCUS, a charity that I have spent the past 18 years working for and that I'm absolutely passionate about.  FOCUS supports young people to develop skills and self-confidence through volunteering and community activities.  Many of the young people I've met have told me that FOCUS has changed their lives.
