I’ve always been able to run around rather aimlessly on a football pitch, but during the first lockdown I took up longer distance running more seriously. I've done a few half marathons recently but this will be my first ever full marathon. I may have to curb my chocolate eating to get into shape for this one... 

Maggie's is a charity close to my heart. As my fiancée Indie's father Robin goes through cancer treatment, I have seen the physical and emotional effects that it has had on Robin and his family. Maggie’s has been and will continue to support everyone involved and this is my way of giving something back to them for that.

It doesn’t always happen that a father in-law gets along with his daughters future husband, but I’m proud to say that I seem to have passed the test. When Robin comes out of hospital I know he will be the first to make sure I get to that finish line.

I know how hard it will be to complete but I hope I make my family proud, especially Indie and her dad. I am grateful to Maggie's for allowing me to run for them. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you for any donations you can give.
