Hundreds of runners will be taking part in the London Marathon 2023 to raise funds for St John Ambulance, the charity that picks you up, dusts you down, and gets you over the finish line.

Story

I am running the 2023 London Marathon to raise money for a charity that I feel very passionately about - St John Ambulance.

I will be 50 years old in 2023 so now seemed like a great time to take my deferred place from the race that was cancelled in 2020 and complete the London Marathon in my 50th year.

In the interim time, I've had knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and have been working hard on the recovery. I'm hoping I will make it through the 16 weeks of training and get to actually run the race in London this time. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to everyone who supported me on the virtual London Marathon in 2020. I'm now going for some extra funding for this amazing organisation. Please do support me if you can.

Thank you. Matt
