Pendleside Hospice believes in nurturing and caring for those in our local community affected by advancing long term and life limiting illness, through to end of life care and bereavement, by providing a range of comprehensive and easily accessible services to support them on their journey.

Story

We all know  people who have been told they have Cancer or another terminal illness.  Many of those people are thankfully still with us, others sadly are not.  Our local Hospices have cared for many of those people.

I've always wanted to do the National 3 Peaks Challenge and thought what better way than taking part in this charity event.  I've climbed each of the 3 peaks many years ago, but I was younger and much fitter then - to climb the highest mountain in England, Wales and Scotland within 24 hours is going to be tough.

Over the past few weeks, I've been training for this by walking some hills with Amaya on my back (she might be little but she's not light!).

I need to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship.  If you are able to sponsor me, no matter how little or how much, I would be really grateful.

Alison has worked in Hospices for many years and I am very aware how much they rely on donations, most only receive 40% funding from the government.  For this reason if you help me raise £500 I will match fund it so Pendleside Hospice would get £1000.

Thank you in advance,

Matt
