I'm running for #TeamSunshine

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
Last year, two of my mates ran the London Marathon for Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity; a charity that makes very poorly children's dreams come true.
I went to London to support them on the day - the first hand experience of the London Marathon atmosphere completely blew me away! After doing further research into Rays of Sunshine and seeing how far the money raised goes, it made me determined to contribute.
Before securing my place on #TeamSunshine, I had never been on a run longer than 5 miles! Running the full 26.2 miles will be a massive personal achievement for me, but knowing it will contribute towards supporting the lives of these children and their families, is the greatest reason of all for me to give this absolutely everything.
Please help me by giving what you can, so the charity can make more of those sorts of wishes come to life.

Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and support the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
