The South City YMCA Creates Opportunity for ALL!
Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Our vision is to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
The South City Family Y serves more than 18,000 individuals annually through membership and programs. In 2021, aside from our charitable programming, we also provided over $109,000 in financial assistance impacting 1,165 people.
The Y works hard to bridge the opportunity gap through programming for kids and teens like Go For Green (Swimming Program), Safety Around Water, and Teen Achievers (Post-Secondary Education Readiness). We cultivate health equity through programs like our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Cancer survivor program. Our community garden will continue to bring people of all ages together learn about nutrition and work with one another. We connect communities through our annual drives, including our school supply drive, food drive, coat drive, and Angel Tree drive during the holidays. These are just highlights of the many great things the Y does for South City.
