The Epilepsy Research Institute’s mission is to radically advance research for the #Onein100 people living with epilepsy. A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research We need energetic, adventurous and creative people like you to help us raise vital funds for epilepsy research!

Story

Epilepsy interrupts the lives of ordinary, extraordinary people. It’s invisible. It’s unpredictable. It’s frightening.Epilepsy Research UK is the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to driving and enabling life changing, life saving research into epilepsy.A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research.Join our #ALifeInterrupted campaign www.epilepsyresearch.org.uk/ALifeInterrupted

2 years ago I experienced a number of seizures completely out of the blue which was incredibly scary for Amy & the kids. It was a really tough time for us all & I had to stop working & I was unable to exercise #ALifeInterrupted. 2 years on & I have been seizure free for over a year. I’ve decided to enter the Swim Serpentine (2 miles in open water) to help raise vital funds for Epilepsy Research UK to help change the lives of those who have been interrupted by epilepsy. By completing the swim Serpentine I will have completed all of the London Classics (London Marathon, Ride 100 & Swim Serpentine) since being diagnosed with epilepsy. This will be a big challenge for me as I’m not a swimmer. Please get behind me & donate whatever you can & in what will be the longest swim I’ve ever done!

Thank you

Matt & Amy
