Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Just Giving Charity Page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which is in support of the Stroke Association and my endeavor to complete the 2 mile Great East Swim at Alton Water in June 2013.

In June 2007, with no prior warning, my dad (then aged 57) suffered a stroke from which he would never recover.  He passed away a week later.

Dad was a keen swimmer in his youth and so it seems appropriate to pay tribute to him by undertaking a challenge, which I think, he would have relished.

The Stroke Association provides valuable advice and support not only for stroke sufferers but also for those that care for stroke sufferers
