Dear friends and family of Holly and Matt, 

My name is Zoë and I'm exceptionally lucky to call Holly my best friend. We spent every day of uni together, from making dreadful animations of talking bread, to hitting up Facebook with hundreds of sweaty photos during fresher's week. I also happen to be a co-founder of Nakuru Children's Project, a small NGO that helps children in Kenya receive a quality education, and build their dreams. 

Holly is one of the best, kindest, most generous people you will ever meet — and has done everything from cycling 145km to living on £1 a day in order to support me and Nakuru Children's Project. After we graduated in 2013, Holly came to Kenya and spent three weeks at a primary school we support, getting to know our kids, and seeing how all her hard work has helped. 

In this time, Holly became close to two very special children — Lena and Kim. Lena and Kim both have learning difficulties, and Holly sat with them every day, helping them learn the alphabet, sharing their lunch breaks, and ultimately becoming their friend. To this day, when I visit Kenya, Lena asks me how "Madam Holly" is doing, and to say hello when I go home. 

Now, Holly and Matt are choosing to share one of the best days of their lives with Lena, Kim and the other kids we support in Kenya. Any gifts you make will go directly to supporting children like Lena and Kim get a quality education — kids who may otherwise struggle to achieve their best due to poverty or hunger at home, or a lack of special needs provision in public primary schools. 

Our admin costs are all covered by private donors — so 100% of the money we receive from this fundraiser will go essentials like free school lunches, tables, chairs, books, learning equipment, teacher salaries, and fun and games — so that kids like Lena, Kim and their classmates get the quality education they deserve.
