Story
Oliver wanted to be a mascot for the Battle of the Badges as he has been a patient at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital for many years now. When Oliver was born premature, he had to spend five weeks in the neonatal unit where the nurses took great care of him as he was unwell. He was in and out of hospital for many years for procedures and tests along with several operations. When Oliver was around two and a half years old, he had to get an ng tube as he was not very good at eating. Before he started school, he had a small operation to get a gasostromy. This was used to top up his calorie intake to help him get bigger and stronger. In March 2018, this tube was taken out and didn't need replaced.
Oliver has been match with Matthew Cowe who is a Firefighter in Peterhead. Matthew is the captain of Team Fire and he can't wait to have Oliver walk him on to the pitch on the day of the match and cheer him on in the crowd.
