Story
What am I doing? I will be participating in Ride Across Britain 2011. This is a 953 mile cycle over 9 days going from John O'Groats at the top of Britain to Lands End at the bottom... downhill all the way then! Doing 106 miles each day and then sleeping in a tent each night I am sure that after a few days when I can no longer sit and have barely slept I will need all the motivation I can find, so please dig deep and donate what you can.
Why INCTR Challenge Fund? In 2006 a university friend of mine, Chris Niblett, died of Burkitt's Lymphoma. This form of cancer is rare in the UK but more common in younger people particularly in Africa. Medication freely available in the UK works in 75 per cent of cases, but sadly Chris was one of the 25 per cent that didn’t make it. Before Chris died he learned of INCTR Challenge Fund, a charity that helps to improve the treatment and availability of medication in the developing world for cancer patients. He was keen to raise money to support INCTR in their work. I'd like to help him with that aim.
