Macmillian Cancer Support makes a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer  providing help and support from the time of diagnosis through treatment.

With personal experience having been treated and cured of advanced recurrent Hodgkin's lymphoma some fourteen years ago, I was lucky to have much support from my family and friends. Such support is not always available to some people.  One of my oldest friends died of a brain tumour aged forty-one and during his long and very traumatic treatment he frequently praised the Macmillian nurses and the charity for their invaluable support and help.
