Every five minutes, stroke destroys lives. You can help rebuild them by joining #TeamStroke in taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon October 2022!

Story

On 9 October 2021, I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for #TeamStroke! There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.Stroke Association believes everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke.

This charity is so close to my heart, following my Dad's Stroke. Coming to terms with what happened to my Dad was and still is so hard, but Stroke Association were on hand. Even though I didn't always want to talk, it was good to know they were there, and still are for my family as well as Dad.

Dad was hugely impacted by his Stroke, having to learn to walk, talk, eat and drink again as well as being affected emotionally. Today, many of these things he still struggles with and he can be vulnerable , but we continue to push him to improve his health always.

Running for them is my way of saying thank you! So I am so grateful for any amount you can give, thank you in advance!
