For all of you that don't know me, I'm Matty, I'm 31 years old and I can't sit still.  I live in Sandiway, Cheshire with my wife Anna who is always encouraging me to challenge myself (I think so she can have some peace and quiet and get me out of the house).

My hobbies consist of going to the gym, playing cricket and skiing. In October 2022 I herniated two discs in my back resulting in me being unable to exercise for almost 4 months but now I'm almost back fully fit I want to put myself to the test and I have decided to run a marathon for a great cause.

For any of you that don't know, Save the Children exists to help every child get the future they deserve. 

In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be.
