Pilgrims Hospices is a charity providing palliative care, free of charge, to people in east Kent. For people with a range of life-limiting illnesses, specialist services are provided from our three hospices in Canterbury, Ashford and Thanet, in patients' homes and via community programmes.

Story

Hi Guys

Thanks for taking the time to come and have a look at my page.

As a lot of you may know the person most close to me ( my Mum) was diagnosed with the rarest form of cancer a few years ago. Only 20 people ever in the world have had what she has. But my Mum was up for giving it a damn good run for its money. But then came the news we all dread about 3 weeks ago. To be told the cancer she has is incurable was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever heard. Theres was still a week to go of the football season but after speaking to my Mum she insisted i saw the season out. I was desperate to get down and see her to have some time on our own and a massive cry.

Mum is in the pilgrims hospice in Canterbury and my god what a place. The place is like a Spa break for the ill. I could not believe the treatment my Mum was getting and i could not thank the staff and workers (volunteers) enough. The lengths they go to, to keep the patients happy and comfortable is truly amazing.

So I've set up this page in the hope that if you have the odd spare bit of cash laying around you would donate to the pilgrims hospice
