Bupa Great Birmingham Run 2013 · 20 October 2013 ·

We are the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease. We fund essential research and provide much needed support, information and advice. We raise awareness and challenge the misconceptions of lung cancer. We do all this so those affected can expect better.

Story

I am running a half marathon on the 20th October 2013 to raise money for a charity solely dedicated to supporting those affected by Lung Cancer. Having never ran a half marathon before it will require months of training, not only to complete but also to achieve my target time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. I need all the support I can get to push me through the training and spur me on to attain what would be a big achievement, whilst raising money and awareness for such a great charity.

A half marathon is a challenge, Lung Cancer is unbeatable. There is no cure for Lung Cancer, only treatments to prevent the inevitable. Each donation will contribute towards funding world-class research on Lung Cancer and make it a challenge that is beatable.

I would really appreciate it if you could make a donation, however big or small, as it will really make a difference and help me achieve my target. Whatever you give will go a long way.

Thank you for your support and generosity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.
