Two years ago i dislocated my shoulder, resulting in an operation and 6 months of not being able to earn my living from playing the cello. (not clever- especially because i did it playing football and my mum had been telling me for 29 years that one day i would get injured!!)

During this time the MBF supported me and so id like to do something to raise awareness for this charity and also give something back to them.

By trying to help a friend i have been roped into a torturous triathalon (2km swim in Ullswater - thats 80 lengths of a pool but with the water temperature approx 14 degrees- brrrr!! Then a 90km cycle- 56 miles- thats from London to Brighton- but with the famously fiendish Kirkstone pass to get up! ...and finally there is a half marathon- 20kms of fell running!!! approx time- there is none!!! i just dont want to look like the photo and the aim is to complete the course! 7- 8hours i think should do it!!

...so what better way to start this mini campaign!!? Please give as generously as you can! It has been incredibly tough training around work and i havent done anywhere near enough so this is to act as extra motivation!!

I shall also put on a concert later in the year so watch out for a more conventional round two!!
