Matt's 2019 Triple Challenge

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
In September 2014 I lost my Mum, Angela, after an 18 month battle to a rare, incurable bone marrow cancer called 'Myeloma'. During this time I witnessed a strength in Mum that I did not know was humanly possible.
Whilst she suffered, somehow she managed to keep everyone around her sane. She was and always will be my inspriation and when we lost Mum it fundamentally changed the way in which I viewed the world.
I wanted to turn something good from something bad and be able make a difference for those unfortunate enough to find themselves in similar situation in the future. So I set up The Angel Foundation. Our goal is simple - to raise £100,000 that will be split between two charities. We have so far raised £35,000 thanks to your incredible support.
Who we support:
1) Myeloma UK to fund drugs reserach development to help find a cure and provide specialist Healthcare training as well as build awareness of Myeloma.
2) Northamptonshire Health Charitable Fund. Supporting the haemotology and oncology departments and the incredible people that supported Mum and all of us. We have already helped fund the development of a relatives room and kick started funding for a new £350,000 Emergency Assesement Unit on the Talbot Butler Ward
So in April and May 2019 I will take on my most intense challenge to date, completing 3 events, 72.2 miles and 200 obstacles consisting of The London Marathon,The Rat Race (worlds longest obstacle run) and finally finishing with the Edinburgh Marathon.
I have some awesome people supporting and running with me in each event to get me through as this is gonna hurt!
Everything we have achieved so far is only possible because of the amazing support we have received from people like you so thank you so so much. Please please please support Team Angel with whatever you can afford.
