Thorpe Acre scout group is in an area of social deprivation taking in young people from low income backgrounds. Scouting helps take young people off the streets giving them a focus in life and making them into responsible boys and girls leading on into adulthood. Camping is one of the main activities that all scouts look forward to, an adventure they can remember for the rest of their lives.

Fundraising is essential for much needed camping fees, camping equipment etc so all can enjoy this experience what ever their background.

Matt and Ian will be cycling 700 miles carrying their own camping equipment, using campsites, Youth hostels and occasional b and b's.
