Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In April 2011, we will be taking to the road from Holmfirth in West Yorkshire and will be cycling to Africa. The route is a 1700 mile trip, which we aim to complete within 17 days. This is a huge challenge for all involved and will push each of the team to their physical and mental limits. You can keep track of the progress of the team and follow them en-route through the challenge at the following page: http://www.cycleforafrica.co.uk/home/bicycle-challenges/2-million-revolutions.html
The challenge has 2 purposes:
1. To raise awareness of the importance of education in Africa. To show that Africa is not a continent too far away from us and is actually a place that someone can cycle to.
2. To raise funds for MHPF and help them to support future generations in Africa through Education.
MHPF have been working for a number of years to provide education for those that dont have it. Over 40 million children in Sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to education for unacceptable reasons. MHPF work to provide those without education the opportunity to have a future. Education is about providing a child with the skills it will need to thrive and take care of their family as they grow.
All of the people who work for MHPF do so on a voluntary basis - ensuring that all of your donations go to the end cause. Please ensure that you stay in touch with MHPF and the progress of where your money has gone at the MHPF website - www.cycleforafrica.co.uk.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate what you can and you will make a huge difference.
