I was lucky enough to get a place in the ballot for this year's London Marathon, so I'm pleased to be able to choose a local charity, which is helping others in all sorts of ways, in these tough times.

I ran the 2004 marathon, and promised myself I'd never do it again, but here I am 19 years later, breaking my promise. There's been a lot of food, beers and holidays since my first marathon, but I've enjoyed the training so far. Wish me luck, and please give generously.
