Story

On Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd July 2021, I will be attempting to ride 300 miles in 24 hours.
I am hoping I can complete this challenge in around 20-22 hours, and I will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The longest I have ever cycled is 200 miles, so it is a big challenge which stretches me into unknown territory.
Sadly, my Dad died from cancer three years ago and the care he received during his treatment and the support given to the family during this time was invaluable.
So, this is not only a personal physical challenge, but it is a challenge to raise money for such an important cause which is very close to my own heart. I am sure this will keep me motivated throughout my ride in those difficult moments both physically and mentally.
Due to Covid 19 people with cancer need Macmillan's support more than ever so please do sponsor me.
CBRE are proud to partner Macmillan Cancer Support. Living with cancer can be devastating at the best of times, but even harder as a result of the recent pandemic. At Macmillan, we talk to people affected by cancer every day and for many, issues with money and mental health such as stress and depression, are their biggest worry. Our partnership focuses on tackling financial hardship and loneliness together, helping Macmillan develop their telephone, online and virtual support services and to help thousands more people with much needed financial and emotional support. The CBRE partnership is going to be more important than ever before, to help Macmillan do whatever it takes to support every single person living with cancer. Cancer is not going anywhere. And neither can Macmillan. Join us in supporting Macmillan, so they can keep providing financial and emotional support to the millions of people that count on them.
