Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In memory of my Father In Law Carl Murphy, I will be attempting to complete the National 3 Peaks in under 24 hours - Covering a total distance of 23 miles and total ascent of 10,000 feet.
Carl was a true gentleman, family man and a friend to many. His family meant the world to him. Anyone that knew Carl loved him, he was one to always lend a hand and be there when needed. He was a very generous, intelligent, welcoming man with a great sense of humour.
Aside from spending time with his family, you would often find him at Blackley Golf Club playing golf or enjoying a drink or two in the members lounge with his friends, watching his beloved Manchester City or playing a round or two of poker!
Carl sadly lost his battle to cancer in December 2022 despite being as poorly as he was he fought everyday & gave everything he could right until the end.
We as a family cannot thank SpringHill Hospice enough for everything they did, not just for Carl but our family too. Nothing was ever too much to ask. They are amazing, everything they did was with the up most care and compassion.
Springhill Hospice offer amazing care and support to patients and their families during some of the toughest times.
