In just a few weeks I shall be, quite literally, pounding the streets of London for 21km’s and raising valuable funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK (#ARUK). I’ll be joined by 11 other brave souls from Team Teradata and together we’re seeking your support and generous donations. Collectively the UKI Teradata team have already raised an incredible £10k for ARUK this year and we’re hoping to get to the £15k milestone by the time the last of us (good chance that’s me) crosses the line of the London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 7^th.

If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.

As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, ARUK are determined to stop this from becoming a reality.

This is particularly close to my heart. I lost a grandparent to Dementia a few years ago and another close family member was diagnosed last year.

ARUK are working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.
