Story

Hi

On the 30th August 2009 I am going to be doing a 60 mile sponsored bike ride to raise money for a charity called "The Chris Lucas Trust". The bike ride starts at Seahouses and ends in Tynemouth, Newcastle.  All the money raised goes towards finding a cure for a rare type of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is most common in children and young adults.

The charity is very important to me as it is run by the parents of my good friend Dave. Dave's parents lost their son Christopher Lucas to the disease 9 years ago on the 15th July 2000 after three long years of battling the aggressive disease.  Since then have dedicated their lives to running this charity, which raises thousands of pounds every year.

I would be very grateful for any donation that you can make and every penny goes straight to the charity and will be a massive help in finding a cure for this terrible disease.

Thanks

Matt
