Story
I'm fundraising for Sense, a charity that believes that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
Back in 2017, I was fortunate to do the London Marathon, raising funds directly for Rudy's Trust Fund. I'm delighted to now be able to run the London Marathon again on behalf of Sense, a fantastic charity and one that is close to our hearts.
Due to brain injury, my son Rudy has lost his peripheral field of vision and has lots of sensory issues (amongst other things). In the early days of trying to know how we could help and support Rudy, it was Sense that provided us with regular opportunities to participate in activities and to meet other families who also had children similar to Rudy.
Sense continue to offer us opportunities as a family and so helping to fundraise for them by doing the marathon is a great way of giving something back.
I'm truly grateful for your sponsorship and only hope I can do Sense and Rudy proud in completing the London Marathon 2020.
Cheers, Matt
