The Burma Education Partnership supports education in displaced Burmese communities along the Thai-Burmese border. It provides funding for schools and educational initiatives, including teacher training. It finds placements for teachers in schools, refugee camps and within a mobile teacher programme. It also develops materials for English teaching and general education.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

On the 2nd September I am off to Thailand for the month working in various communities. I am travelling in a group of 18 students from Durham University organised through DUCK the Universities charities committee. I shall spend about 2 weeks in Nan near Laos working in communities linked with Durham University and the University of Chulalongkorn and 2 weeks in Mae Sot working on projects for Burmese refugees.

I am attempting to raise £1,000 that shall be go directly to the Burma Education Partnership. I am covering all travelling costs myself, so you're not helping to fund a jolly. Please dig deep as it is all going to charity!

Please visit http://duck.dsu.org.uk/?p=expeditions/thailand for more information on the expedition.

Please sponsor me now!

You're amazing!
