UK Police Unity Tour 2021 · 30 July 2021 to 1 August 2021 ·

The Police Unity Tour is a long-distance cycle ride undertaken by hundreds of police officers across the UK, to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty and raise funds for Care of Police Survivors.

Story

On January the 7th 2003  My  Dad PC 1570 Ged Walker sustained catastrophic brain injuries whilst attempting to arrest a prolific offender .He died two days later on the 9th of January at the age of 42 . Dad had served with Nottinghamshire Police since joining as a cadet at the age of 16 and had six years left until he retired  . It is 18 years  since his death and this year I  am  joining  the Unity Tour  again and Cycling  in his memory and to raise funds for Care Of Police Survivors who have been a constant support to our family in the years following his death.

This year as part of East Midlands PUT  I  will be riding 180 miles  through Derbyshire  Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire completing the ride at  The National Memorial Arboretum
