Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it really does mean a lot to me!!

I lost my dad to dementia in December 2021, my dad has been there for me every single day of my life, and now he’s gone. I’m broken and the feelings I have are indescribable. 

My dad should be enjoying his retirement, but he isn’t, he should be visiting his grandkids, but he isn’t, fishing, but he isn’t, taking holidays with mum, but he isn’t.

Dementia has done this, it’s done this to all of us, and it isn’t fair.

It’s cruel, it’s evil, it’s many things, but it’s tenure will come to an end. Dementia will become a thing of the past, but, not without research, and not without the tireless efforts of wonderful people, people such as those funded by Alzheimer’s Research UK, pushing forward and seeking a breakthrough. But this is only possible with funding. I need to do my bit, I need to try and help in some way. I can’t bring dad back, but if my fundraising can help in some way to find a cure, well then maybe I can help prevent someone going through what my dad went through!!
