Story

Fighting Blindness (FB) works to cure, support and empower people affected by sight loss. FB fund vital research into treatments for blindness, while caring for people and families through free counselling and support services.

I will be taking part in the Glendalough Trail Run on Saturday, 2nd November. I will be raising important funds which will go towards finding treatments for those affected by vision impairments and for the families of those affected.

I work and volunteer alongside researchers in UCD's Ocular Pharmacology & Genetics Research Group. This Summer, I was involved with UCD's Inherited Blindness Summer School (funded by Fighting Blindness & Co), where I spoke to transition year students about life in University. This was a fantastic opportunity for  students to learn about Inherited Blindness and 3rd level education.

I acknowledge how important funding is for the discovery of new treatments and would also like to help those with vision impairments.

Vision is something that many of us take for granted.

Any donations are greatly appreciated.
